Construction Party
Cake Make chocolate cupcakes (or you favorite kind) but do not frost them. Get a new or very clean large dump truck and cover the inside of the truck with foil. Place the cupcakes in the back of the dump truck. Serve with a new or very clean toy shovel.
Decorations Get construction tape and place it as a border around the party area. If you don't want guest to go in certain rooms, you can also tape off those, too. Place clean toy construction trucks all over the table. Make construction signs out of yellow poster board and place throughout the house. Make a large one for the door to let everyone know that there is a birthday boy or girl. Get cups, plates plastic cones, streamers and tablecloth from birthdayexpress.com. They also have a very cute email invitation you can send.
Hats Get plastic hard hats from a dollar store.
Games If you have large dump trucks, have a relay race. Have the kids run their dump trucks to a sand pit and fill up the back with a shovel and run back to the finish line. Have the kids build a building with Lego's, tinker toys or wooden bricks. Give a prize for the tallest and most interesting .
